My speaker story begins at Vassar College under the writing mentorship of Kiese Laymon, extends through a decade of early childhood education starting at Yale School of Medicine's Child Study Center, and wraps up with tutoring from the moving and talented Reverend Erika Hewitt.
My resulting style is approachable, comprehensible, intellectual and funny -- always guiding audiences toward compassion and connection.
Whether sharing my personal survival journey or educating about diverse topics like LGBTQ+ mental health and somatic psychology, I combine my preschool teacher heart with my therapist mind and preacher spirit — to make difficult concepts easily understood for diverse audiences.
