In life, each of us navigates a journey through diverse emotional terrain. Too often, we are unprepared for the mountains and valleys, carrying trauma not only in our minds but in our bodies—through nervous systems that extend into our lungs, circulatory systems, digestive tracts, and beyond. Much of this trauma is relational, complicating our ability to nurture ourselves while connecting healthily with others.
My team and I, informed by both education and personal experience as therapy clients ourselves, understand that healing trauma, managing mental illness, and repairing relationships must be (1) person-centered and culturally competent, (2) body-inclusive, and (3) focused on fostering post-traumatic growth.
With care and curiosity, we walk alongside our clients, encouraging them to notice their unique patterns and dynamics in the therapeutic relationship. Our approach incorporates mindfulness, art therapy, internal family systems, solution-focused strategies, and somatic interventions to foster resilience and growth.
We are deeply committed to supporting LGBTQIA2S+, Black, Indigenous, and diverse folks of color, as well as other marginalized groups. We see teletherapy as an expansion of access for many disabled folks, and understand disability to include more than mobility or physical diveristy. Allyship, for us, is a lived relationship built on continuous learning, so clients can focus on showing up and being supported rather than carrying the burden of educating us. As a team, we prioritize thorough training in cultural humility and competency to ensure every client feels seen, safe, and empowered.
If you have any questions about our team’s training, education, background, or approach to therapy -- please reach out through the contact page. No question is silly, or weird, or stupid. All questions are important and welcome! If you’d like to peruse my team of talented Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapists, you may do so here.
I look forward to connecting soon. Feel free to reach out anytime!
